Project Description
RS Tensile Pvt. Ltd. completed a tensile car parking structure for Sahida Sahib Gurudwara, creating a covered and visually distinctive entrance solution for the Gurudwara premises. The project was completed on 25 June 2019 with an approximate project budget of ₹5 lakh.
The entrance structure was planned to provide practical weather protection while creating a welcoming architectural feature at the main entry area.
Customer Requirement
Sahida Sahib Gurudwara required a customized tensile entrance structure that could provide covered access at the entrance while complementing the character of the religious premises.
The structure needed to be functional, durable, and visually appropriate for an entrance area used by visitors. A tensile membrane solution offered an opportunity to provide coverage without creating the heavy appearance associated with conventional roofing.
What We Did
RS Tensile designed and manufactured a custom tensile entrance structure according to the project's requirements. The structure was fabricated using an MS structural framework with PVDF-coated fabric, combining a strong supporting system with a lightweight tensile membrane.
The customized approach allowed the entrance canopy to be developed around the available space and intended access area. RS Tensile's work focused on the structural framework, tensile fabric solution, fabrication, and installation of the completed entrance structure.
Result
The Sahida Sahib Gurudwara entrance tensile structure was successfully completed, providing a functional covered entrance for visitors while adding a contemporary architectural element to the premises.
The completed structure provides outdoor vehicle coverage while maintaining an open and modern appearance. Its tensile membrane design also helps create a more suitable architectural finish for a commercial café environment compared with a conventional heavy roofing solution.
